A note from Dr. Warshell

Why I opened a small practice.

I am a primary care doctor for adults. Since finishing medical school more than 20 years ago, I have worked in emergency rooms, hospitals, and outpatient clinics across the Midwest.

Emergency medicine teaches you how much gets missed when care is rushed. So this practice is small and independent on purpose. Your appointments are with me, every time, and your care plan is built around your life, not a template.

My goal is to keep you healthy: regular physical activity and a healthy diet, screenings and vaccinations on schedule, and prompt diagnosis and treatment of common conditions. Mental health is an equal part of that. I diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, and other common mental health conditions as part of your regular care.

I look forward to meeting you.

Richard Warshell, MD

What I offer

Adult primary care, start to finish.

From yearly physicals to long-term conditions, I provide the full scope of primary care for adults, with the time to do it properly.

Annual Physicals

A full yearly exam and an honest conversation about where your health is and where it is heading.

Chronic Conditions

Ongoing care for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, and more, with a plan that fits your life.

Preventive Screening

Cancer screenings, heart risk assessment, and age-appropriate tests to catch problems early.

Mental Health

Diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, and other common mental health conditions, handled as part of your primary care.

Sick Visits

Infections, injuries, and new symptoms, seen by the doctor who already knows your history.

Vaccinations

Flu shots and routine adult vaccines, kept up to date as part of your regular care.

How I practice

A different kind of doctor's visit.

After two decades in emergency medicine, I built this practice on a simple belief: medicine is a relationship, not a transaction. Here is what that looks like in your care.

"Mental health is an equally important component of patient care."

On his approach to primary care

I listen first.

Every visit starts with what brought you in and what matters to you, not with a screen.

I take the time.

Visits are scheduled so there is room to ask questions, weigh options, and leave with a clear plan.

I treat the whole person.

Sleep, stress, work, family, and mood all shape your health. Your care plan accounts for all of it, mental health included.

I keep it clear.

No jargon and no surprises. You will understand your results, your options, and your plan.
