I am a primary care doctor for adults. Since finishing medical school more than 20 years ago, I have worked in emergency rooms, hospitals, and outpatient clinics across the Midwest.
Emergency medicine teaches you how much gets missed when care is rushed. So this practice is small and independent on purpose. Your appointments are with me, every time, and your care plan is built around your life, not a template.
My goal is to keep you healthy: regular physical activity and a healthy diet, screenings and vaccinations on schedule, and prompt diagnosis and treatment of common conditions. Mental health is an equal part of that. I diagnose and treat depression, anxiety, and other common mental health conditions as part of your regular care.
I look forward to meeting you.
Richard Warshell, MD
From yearly physicals to long-term conditions, I provide the full scope of primary care for adults, with the time to do it properly.
A full yearly exam and an honest conversation about where your health is and where it is heading.
Ongoing care for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions, and more, with a plan that fits your life.
Cancer screenings, heart risk assessment, and age-appropriate tests to catch problems early.
Diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, and other common mental health conditions, handled as part of your primary care.
Infections, injuries, and new symptoms, seen by the doctor who already knows your history.
Flu shots and routine adult vaccines, kept up to date as part of your regular care.
After two decades in emergency medicine, I built this practice on a simple belief: medicine is a relationship, not a transaction. Here is what that looks like in your care.
"Mental health is an equally important component of patient care."

On his approach to primary care
Every visit starts with what brought you in and what matters to you, not with a screen.
Visits are scheduled so there is room to ask questions, weigh options, and leave with a clear plan.
Sleep, stress, work, family, and mood all shape your health. Your care plan accounts for all of it, mental health included.
No jargon and no surprises. You will understand your results, your options, and your plan.
Everything before the visit happens online or by phone, so the appointment itself is about you.
Send a request online or call (872) 293-6978. You will get a call back to confirm a time.
After your request, a link to the secure patient portal arrives automatically. Complete your registration and health history there, before you come in.
Photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of your current medications. Bring your questions too.
Registration, health history, and messages live in the secure patient portal. A link is sent when you request an appointment.
